Back to School: Home Organization

Back to School: with Jooma Homes!

School has started here in the TN Valley! Students and teachers are settling in with their first full week back to school. We are thrilled to have been able to complete 10 teacher wish lists this summer alongside with our Keller Williams family. Huge thanks to ALL of those that donated.

Going back to school can be an exciting time, but it also means getting back into a routine AND staying organized, trying! One way to start the school year off right is to get your home organized. Check out these tips to help you get started:

  1. Create designated spaces for school supplies: Designate a specific spot in your home to keep school supplies such as backpacks, textbooks, and stationery. This can be a shelf, a drawer, or a cubby. Make sure that everyone in the household knows where this spot is and remind them to put everything back in its place once they’re done.
  2. Set up a homework station: Choose a quiet area in your home for your child to do homework. Make sure there’s a desk or table, comfortable seating, good lighting, and necessary supplies such as pens, pencils, and paper. Having a designated space for homework will help your child focus and make it easier for you to supervise.
  3. Declutter and organize: Going back to school is a great time to declutter your home. Go through each room and get rid of items you no longer need or use. Once you’ve decluttered, organize your remaining items in a way that makes sense to you and your family. This will make it easier to find things when you need them.

By following these tips, you’ll be well on your way to a more organized home for the school year. Be sure to follow us on social media for more home organizing tips and ways to support our local teachers!
