It’s LOCATION! Moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee can be a great decision for several reasons. Known as the “Scenic City,” Chattanooga offers a stunning natural backdrop with its proximity to the Tennessee River and surrounding mountains. Not to mention, it is close to other major South Eastern cities including: Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville, and more.
Chattanooga is situated just over two hours away from Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta is known for its culture, entertainment, and business opportunities. Atlanta is also home to the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Falcons, and of course the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. When you fly out of Chattanooga you will likely have a connecting flight in Atlanta, one of the busiest airports. This makes travel convenient when living in Chattanooga, you are close to the airport for air travel and you can stop by Atlanta for a visit to one of the many attractions they have.
Drive two hours the other way and you will find Nashville. Nashville is known for its rich music scene and vibrant nightlife. There is never a dull moment in Nashville and we often hear of bachelorette trips to Nashville, work conferences and more. Here you can visit the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Step outside on Broadway Street and experience live music from all directions. Nashville also has a wonderful zoo that you don’t want to miss.
Taking a trip north of Chattanooga you will find Pigeon Forge. Pigeon Forge is typically what most people think of when they think of Tennessee, Dollywood, cabins, Great Wolf Lodge, and amazing sights all around. I remember field trips with my children to Dollywood. If you are thinking about moving to Tennessee you don’t want to miss this hot tourist spot. We love that we can go for a weekend or even a day at Pigeon Forge.
On your way to Pigeon Forge you can’t forget to stop in Knoxville. Knoxville is home to the University of Tennessee and a hub for outdoor enthusiasts. it is less than two hours away. Enjoy a Tennessee Volunteer game or explore the area. We have many college graduates that become first time home buyers in Chattanooga.
Regardless of what you want to see and do, Chattanooga is close to it all. This strategic location makes Chattanooga an ideal base for those looking to experience the best of the southeastern United States.
